Healing Angels Animal Rescue (ABN 53 684 000 459) recognises the importance of protecting the privacy and the rights of individuals in relation to their personal information. This privacy policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.
We respect your rights to privacy under the National Privacy Principles (NPP’s) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act) and we comply with all the Act’s requirements in respect of the collection, management, and disclosure of your personal information. The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information. What is your personal information?
Essentially ‘personal information’ means any information that can be used to personally identify you.
This may include your:

• mailing or street address;

• telephone number/s;
• any other contact details you wish to provide;
• age or birth date;
• occupation or job title;
• details of the products and services you have purchased from us or which you have enquired about, together with any additional information necessary to deliver those products and services and to respond to your enquiries;
• any additional information relating to you that you provide to us directly through our websites or indirectly through use of our websites or online presence, through our representatives or otherwise; and

Forms
We may ask you to provide personal information related to you, or your family via online forms or printed versions. The information collected is for our rescue services purposes only. We don’t require you to fill out all fields, thus you may skip any or all fields. We take your privacy very seriously and use TLS encryption to submit all forms. It is your right and our pleasure to request a paper-version of any of our forms or documents.
What is sensitive information?
‘Sensitive information’ (a type of personal information), means information or an opinion about an individual’s race or ethnic origins, political opinions and associations, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical beliefs, sexual preferences or practices, trade or professional associations and memberships, union membership, criminal record, health or genetic information or biometric information.
What sensitive information do we collect and hold?
There are very few circumstances where we collect sensitive information – for example, as part of information collected about directors and volunteers for company and human resource management purposes. Where such information is collected, we will only do so if you have provided your consent or where required by law.

Overseas recipients are in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. In giving your consent, you acknowledge these overseas recipients are not required to comply with the APPs. What happens if we can’t collect your personal information?

Our procedure for investigating and dealing with privacy breaches is an internal review by one of our Board of Directors, who may contact you to seek further information to your initial complaint, if needed. At the conclusion of that review, you will be provided with a written account of the outcome and any measures we propose to take to address defects in our processes.
