Healing Angels Animal Rescue (HAAR) is an ACNC registered not-for-profit charity organisation in Queensland, Australia.

Our team of volunteers are dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating homeless cats and dogs.

We are not a Rescue Shelter but a home-based, volunteer foster care organisation. We provide safe temporary foster homes, veterinary medical care, rehabilitation and the adoption into loving forever families.

At Healing Angels Animal Rescue, we believe that every animal deserves a second chance at life. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome homeless cats and dogs, ensuring they find loving and forever homes.

We provide safe and nurturing foster homes for homeless cats and dogs until they find their loving forever families through our ethical adoption processes.

We are committed to providing compassionate care and support for all cats and dogs, advocating for their well-being, and educating the community on responsible pet ownership.

We aim to bring awareness and education to the community on the benefits of rescue adoption and responsible pet ownership. Providing information on the importance of desexing your animal to prevent unwanted litters, maintaining up to date vaccinations and ensuring your pet is microchipped with up to date contact details.

Our Rescue Services

At Healing Angels Animal Rescue we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless cats and dogs across Queensland, Australia.

Our team of passionate volunteers works tirelessly to rescue stray, abandoned, and neglected cats and dogs. Each animal that comes into our care is assessed, treated for any health issues, and placed in loving foster homes where they can recover and thrive in a safe and supportive environment. We work closely with local shelters and pounds intaking cats and dogs out of these facilities and into our rescue where we can provide them with further behavioural, medical and emotional rehabilitation.

When a cat or dog is brought into care with Healing Angels Animal Rescue, they are immediately quarantined, flea and worm treated, bathed and scheduled for a veterinarian appointment. During this initial appointment, each animal undergoes a health check where the need for vaccinations, desexing, microchipping and in exceptional cases, dental work, medication or behavioural rehabilitation is discussed.

Our animals are placed with community volunteer foster carers who are given the tools, resources and medications needed to support each animal's health. Unfortunately, some animals may be determined to have long-term health conditions that deem them unadoptable. Healing Angels Animal Rescue provides permanent foster homes and medical support to allow these animals to live out their lives in a safe and supportive environment.

When our animals are deemed rehabilitated and have been vet worked, they are placed up for adoption. Healing Angels Animal Rescue is a verified Pet Rescue and SavourLife Member and we use Pet Rescue and SavourLife online to assist us find each of our animals their adoptive forever homes!
